Joy is joy. Maybe it’s from the scent of a favorite can of curry. Maybe a longed-for promotion. A desired phone call. A health screening that came back just as you’d hoped & prayed for.

I heard musician, singer, & joy-monger say, ‘Everything is everything,’ & it landed as truth. I made a pact with mySelf, I will savor joy today, wherever it finds me. Maybe in my kitchen cupboard. Maybe in a friends visit. Maybe a snuggle with my cat, Oscar.

I commit to not pressuring joy today. I welcome her, heart & arms open.

It’s normal to disagree &/or have conflict, even (especially) with people we’re close to. Try to clarify ‘what’s the problem here?’ & focus on solving it, not on attacking the other person or trying to ‘win.’ Ego wants to win; love wants to relate, repair, resolve.
