If you have someone in jail, be sure their name is entered correctly in the system. Clerks regularly misspell people's names and then they are lost in the system for longer than needed.

2x this week I couldn't find an inmate due to this and I spoke to a supervisor at the court house to bring it to her attention.

It takes seconds to check the spelling, but if not done, it can take days or weeks to get the issue fixed while that inmate could lose their job, home, and sometimes their life, in that jail. We've all seen the news stories about this.

Got a young lady out on a "book n bail" in South Euclid today.

PEOPLE! The single most important thing when catching a case is MAKING IT TO COURT EARLY! NEVER rely on the mail and always call or look online for your next court date.

She had to pay a little under $1,000 extra to stay out of jail after her bench warrant came through because she slept in. Small charge, likely they'll throw out, but that money never comes back to you!

This is the bail reform certain groups want in Ohio. To let anyone judges feel isn't a threat out on their own recognizance (for free).
Would you feel safer having more criminals who were recently arrested awaiting trial roaming the streets? Hell no!
Keep them under the watch of a bonding company by giving them a bond. This guy should have been sent to a psych clinic but the system failed everyone in this story by getting rid of the bonding system.
