Downtown Residents Council - Cincinnati

Downtown Residents Council - Cincinnati DRC was founded in 1985, with the goal to preserve and develop downtown. Meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of each month and are open to the general public.

We focus on new development, zoning regulations, safety, housing code enforcement, traffic patterns, shopping, recreational facilities, and maintenance in the community. Through the end of 2021, we plan to have in-person meetings at First Financial Bank at 1 E. Fourth St (corner of 4th and Vine), in downtown Cincinnati.

Tonight at the DRC monthly meeting we heard from Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich. She helped us better understand the judicial process and opened the floor for DRC members to ask questions about bail bonds, jail time, judges and more.

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we honor Dr. King’s legacy of service, equity, and community building. In Cincinnati, his message reminds us that meaningful change begins in our neighborhoods, through people coming together, engaging in civic life, and caring for the places we call home. As the Downtown Residents’ Council, we carry this legacy forward by fostering connection, advocating for a safe and vibrant downtown, and working collaboratively to ensure our community reflects the values of dignity, opportunity, and belonging for all. On this day, we pause to reflect on this legacy and recommit ourselves to building a stronger, more inclusive downtown — together.
