Investments matter. But they are only one part of a much larger financial life.
A portfolio does not tell us how much flexibility you want.
It does not tell us whether you are supporting parents or children.
It does not explain what happens to a business someday.
It does not answer questions about taxes, estate planning, insurance, cash flow or what you actually want your money to make possible.
That is why financial planning should be bigger than investment performance.
The investments are one piece.
