If you love the idea of Medicare Supplement HDG because of the low premium, but the $2950 out of pocket scares you (2026) and you lean towards G, but hate that high premium, I may have a buffer solution for you. If you have never heard of Medigap Plan HDG, ask your agent why ;)?

What is the Annual Notice of Change (ANOC)?

The ANOC is a letter required by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). It informs current members of any changes to their plan’s coverage, service area, or costs that will take effect in January of the following year.

All Medicare Advantage plans must send this letter to members by September 30. Members who have elected to receive their mail paperlessly will receive a notification that they have new mail to review in their member portal when their ANOC is ready.

The ANOC is designed to help members decide whether their current plan will continue to meet their needs. If they are okay with the upcoming changes, they don’t need to do anything. If there are changes that are worrisome, this document helps members to know that they should speak with their broker about other plan options for the next year.
