It’s always interesting to me how many people say they don’t have the patience to give a business three years, yet they’ll give someone else’s company forty years without thinking twice.
The patience is clearly there, so the real question is who it’s being spent on and what it’s building at the end.
Three focused years can feel long when you’re in the middle of them, especially when the results are slow to show up. Forty years of building someone else’s dream goes by quietly too, and a lot of people only notice how much time they gave away when it’s too late to get it back.
