Stop at our tent outside and will send you on in Women and Children First where our volunteers will be waiting to check your reading journals and reward you with this week’s prizes. Registration is open for the Friends of Andersonville 2025 Summer Reading Program!

Keep your kids reading all summer long and earn fun rewards from local favorites and more!

Who: Students entering K this fall – 2025 8th grade graduates in the Andersonville/Edgewater area.

When: Wednesdays, July 9–August 13 Drop by anytime 4:00–6:30pm at our Friends of Andersonville tent at Clark & Farragut

Please share the attached flyer with other neighborhood families you think may enjoy the program!

Hello Andersonville Readers!

We are looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow (Wednesday), 4:00pm - 6:30pm to kick off this summer's reading program!

Be sure to visit our tent so you can pick up your t-shirt and reading journal!! We will be set up on the corner of Clark & Farragut next to Women & Children First Bookstore.

If anyone is missing the pick up, there are two options for getting your items before the July 17th check-in. (We want your child to be able to read and enter something in their journal so they earn their gift certificates on Wednesday, July 17th check-in.)

1. You can ask another family to pick up your items at tomorrow's check-in.
2. We can leave them on the front porch at 1441 W Winnemac Ave. for you to pick up sometime this week.

Hello Andersonville Readers!

Exciting news! Registration for this year's Friends of Andersonville Summer Reading Program is now open!

Dive into summer reading and share your favorite books with friends every Wednesday from 4pm-6:30pm. Not only will your love for reading be celebrated, but you’ll also have the chance to earn gift cards from local businesses, including a bookstore and another fantastic spot in our community. Let’s make this summer a season of stories, fun, and rewards!

All neighborhood kids, kindergarten - 8th Grade are welcome to join. (Children starting kindergarten this fall - kids who just completed 8th Grade)
