Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria’s New President - Congratulations:
At the end of first week in office and watching the the activities of his excellency, political players especially the opposition and including the display of the First Lady Pastor Remi Tinubu at a church like function with both Christian and Muslim Clerics and other very important people where this lady gave an excellent speech extemporally on behalf of her husband BAT which she calls Ashiwaju (front runner) who she said was unavoidable absent.
Before I say another thing I think I should say it is dangerous to pray when you do believe or forget that God does answers prayers. I am sure some of you read some if not my publications online for about 4 years ago, I made an argument that the presidency should next go to a Lagosian being born in Lagos Island myself in the 1950’s. In that essay I advanced the argument that Lagos being the original capital city of Nigeria had entertained visitors to Lagos as President of the country both civilians and the Khaki boys before the creation of Abuja in the Federal Capital Territory FTC like Dr. Nnamdi Azikwe, General Murtala Mohammed to mention a few. That it is the turn of a Lagosian to lead Nigeria and appealed to the good judgment of the Nigerian voting public to make it happen.
But when the campaign intensified, I stood as a neutral observer unable to enter the race for very serious and fundamental reasons and decided to evaluate the candidates solely based on their campaign and followership and not necessarily on the media hype even though that was the greatest event of the electioneering campaign though voting may not necessarily follow that. With time 3 candidates became the top runners Atiku, Obi, and Tinubu; and in the heat of the campaign these 3 made their keynote statements which I carefully evaluated and made my assessment as who did the best and that should Nigerians be reasonable, they should give the presidency to the best according to my calculations and observation.
I most admit though that I was swayed to be Obidient which I accepted easily with any qualms even though I initially have my misgivings since Obi is of the Ibo stalk who attempted to break up Nigeria and creat Biafra which I am of the opinion they should apologize for but unfortunately they did not, yet I showed my support for Peter Gregory Obi even until Election Day though as I mentioned the best pitch for the office of President was not made by Obi who claimed COMPETENCE CAPACITY CHARACTER etc; not was it made by Atiku who said Nigeria needs a Northerner as President who knows the who parts of Nigeria. But was made by Tinubu by his simple, bragadatory statement of EMI LOKAN! Yes that statement was exceedingly mocked my opponents and their supporters but it turned out to be so - that it is Bola Tinubu’s turn to be president. But there was a statement in Lagos politics even before Bola Tinubu became Governor in 1999. It was in brief OTI BAJE but in full OTI BAJE-AFE TUNSHE
Yes the opposition is in court but I think many are surrendering and rethinking and some are even paying courtesy calls to President Tinubu already. Yes some things were labeled against him which is allowed in politics but it is left to the voters to choose who they want and the majority carry the vote. For one Tinubu did some things in God’s own country which I cannot do though it is not necessary bad. Also he prays to a deity which is totally against the First of the Ten Commandments but that is his choice but I guess if I do that burning hell will be my final destination after my life on earth is over. So be careful how you pray and know that God does answer prayers. If you have time search for a read my peace on the Nigerian Presidency being the turn of Lagos. Can someone tell us where the new First Lady is from? Let the new prayer now be that in 2027 the Nigerian Presidency should shift to wherever Remi Tinubu is from. Once again I say Congratulations your excellency and as they say: KI ADE KO PE LORI, KI BATA KO PE LESE (at least for 4 years).
