Revisiting an article I wrote over a year ago
TO ALL NIGERIANS
Emmanuel Dayo Fadipe I think you are all very very funny and seem not to know what you are saying as none* of you is dispassionate nor object. You are all partisan and for whatever reasons refuse to take an holistic view of the matter on ground including the NIGERIAN FACTOR which you are all swimming in and yet pretend as if it does not exist at all. Yet I do not blame any of you because we are all guilty of the very crime for always acting as if somethings do not exist until we are in dare need if it and are then in “trouble” like the air we breath - Che be, it doesn’t exist or we don’t know it is there until we are in a dare place where we need it and cannot get it.
The election is over; let everybody go home to either pray for or curse Bola Tinubu until another 4 years again when he may loose like Jonathan or even win like Buhari. Nothing was wrong with the election but everything that happened were actually normal like:
Obi being Ibo that are less Nigerian and more of Biafra according to him with CCC capacity competence character - amusing voters;
Bola Ahmed Tinubu saying Emi lo kan and you all laughed him to scorn and now o ti kan indeed!
what about Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi both going to court at the same time with each claiming he won the election! Can 3 people win the same election at the same time - even by simple majority? Either Obi is lying or Abubakar is the liar Or as some say INEC is the liar but certainly not Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu because he did not declare himself the winner nor did he say so as Obi and Abubakar are arrogating victory to themselves.
But until the voters know, admit, and realize that they are the cause of electoral problems Nigeria may never know peace immediately after elections. Let’s leave Tinubu alone and Yakubu and let everyone go home. Actually my first fear for Obi came up when I saw the number of Agents he had a the polling booths compared to Atiku and Bola. And right there I knew he was already in trouble. Anyway he is still young, yes very young and he can try again. After all he is younger than Nigeria having not been born before October 1st 1960. But he may mot be very lucky again as the wind may then turn to another candidate including President elect Tinubu especially if he does well in his first term of 4 years. Oh my Obi, sorry O.
