Birthday Blessings

Giving God all the praise for another birthday.

Celebrated my birthday this morning at a breakfast meeting with the Woodland Area Chamber of Commerce. It was a great time and I won a power bank from ABR Houston!

HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS

It wasn’t long ago when the world was shutting down due to Covid-19. But the truth is — patients and families around the world were already shut down by something just as deadly – financial toxicity.

With 200,000-300,000 Texans with a history of cancer and 3,000 new cases every month in Houston alone — it’s time to collaborate to offer extended care.

Thousands of cancer patients are overwhelmed by the alarming cost of their medical care.

Consequently, there has to be a cure for both the disease and its impact on family stability.
It is understood that a diagnosed problem without a treatment plan, is a partial solution at best.

On the other hand, when we provide a diagnosis and treatment plan with implementation assistance — it leads to continuity of care, better outcomes and whole-person care.

This is the mission of Financial Diversion.
We provide financial stabilization, helping patients to navigate resources, and take manageable actions to build capacity, continuity of treatment and better outcomes.

If you work in healthcare or are part of a care team, and want to be part of the solution, we will welcome an opportunity to connect with you.

Supporting Healthcare Systems With Financial Care Support

When all a patient can think about is a growing stack of bills, it’s hard to feel hopeful.

That’s when access to financial care, can make a difference -
not just for patients but for the staff as well.

Financial Crisis Diversion Services

I recently updated my banner, and I want to share why those words matter to me deeply.

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲. 𝗪𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘀.

Healthcare professionals carry an enormous weight — managing patient outcomes, navigating complex systems, and advocating for people at their most vulnerable.

But what happens when the crisis isn't clinical?

When a patient can't afford their medication. When financial stress is quietly undermining their recovery. When the bill becomes the barrier to healing.

That's where I come in.

As a Certified Financial Coach and Chaplain, I sit at the intersection of financial care and spiritual support — helping patients stabilize so they can focus on what matters most: getting well.

If you're a healthcare provider, case manager, or social worker looking for a trusted partner for your patients in financial crisis, let's connect.

You manage the care. I'll help stabilize the crisis.

The Key to Your Breakthrough

When life becomes unbearable, where do you find strength?

To the world you look well put together –
But it’s only a façade.

You have lost your job – but you still have your wardrobe.
Your hair and makeup are impeccable.
But the reality is – you are crumbling on the inside

You may have

No income.
No housing.
Little or no food.

How do you hold on to hope – when you have lost everything?

How do you rise again?
All is not lost –

What did Joseph do when he was in prison in a foreign land?
What did David do when Saul repeatedly tried to kill him?
They remembered the source of their strength.

Joseph rose to prime minister, second in command of Egypt.
David refused to touch Saul and replaced him as king.

Remember the source of your strength and stay connected.
Don’t look at your giant.
Look to your God.

It is time to walk by faith and not by sight.

You were equipped to win – before the fight even began.
Follow HIS plan and step into your destiny.

Discover who God intended you to become.

“Building People. Capacity. Independence.”

Options for Better Financial Health

Do you ever wish that you could offer your clients financial insight or tools to help better their lives? While finance may not be your background, you can include it with the skills that your clients learn. Here’s how – through collaboration.

If you or the clients that you serve are navigating domestic violence, homelessness, reentry or financial hardship — FREE classes that focus on debt management, retirement and estate planning or creating a college fund won’t offer much help. For a long time, there were no options in financial literacy. Today there are options. You can choose the specific financial training that you want and have it delivered to your door.

If you are navigating financial hardship, look for financial training that offers budgeting and savings strategies for low-income individuals. Secondly, make sure that it offers actionable steps, and worksheets in a judgment-free environment. If you have trouble finding what you are looking for, consider Financial Chaplaincy™️.

Financial Chaplaincy cares for the whole person – instilling values and strategies for better emotional and financial health. Our mission is to offer training that moves clients from hardship and crisis assistance to independence.
