Let's talk personal information!
When you are disputing negative items with the credit bureaus, you may have noticed how consistently things are coming back as 'verified'.

What does that process even look like?

Typically, the credit bureaus will send an electronic 'ping' to the company reporting the information(data furnisher). The data furnisher then sends a 'ping' back to the credit bureaus.

In this ping they give account #, name on the account, dates, addresses, etc.

The credit bureaus take this information as enough evidence to verify the account.

That's because most people skip a CRUCIAL step in the process
cleaning up up your personal information

By cleaning up your personal information first, when the credit bureaus receive the ping from the data furnishers and the old information they give does not match what the credit bureaus have then that account is no longer verifiable, which means...
