Allergy season is picking up, and many over-the-counter medications can affect your alertness more than you might think. Here are a few quick reminders before you get behind the wheel:

🟢 Remember that some allergy medications can cause side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, and headaches, which can affect your driving.
🟢 Thoroughly read side effects before driving, and talk to your doctor before starting any new allergy medicines.
🟢 If you feel groggy, dizzy, or like it would be unsafe for you to drive, it’s safest to avoid driving altogether.
🟢 If you’re trying a new medication or are unsure how your allergy medication will impact you, don’t take it before you have to drive.

Stay safe on the road this spring! And if you have questions about your auto insurance or want to make sure your coverage is keeping up with your needs, give us a call. We’re here to help you!

During National Consumer Protection Week, we invite you to take a moment to brush up on how to spot fraud and protect yourself online. Here are a few best practices to keep in mind:

🔹 Never share sensitive personal information with unverified sources online.
🔹 Don’t click on links from unknown or suspicious sources.
🔹 Be cautious of “too good to be true” offers or someone making threats that create a sense of urgency.
🔹 Verify the recipient before you send money, especially when it comes to online relationships or donation requests.
🔹 If you get a phone call from an organization and are unsure of the validity of the call, immediately hang up and call back from an official number, which will often be listed on an official website.

Even with your best efforts, scams can still happen. That’s where personal insurance coverage may help. From identity theft protection to personal cyber insurance, the right policy can help cover recovery costs, legal fees, and even lost funds depending on the situation.

February is full of milestones that shaped culture, language, and science. That being said, we wanted to take a second to share some of our favorite historical moments from the month.

📚 February 1, 1884 - The first part of the Oxford English Dictionary was published, laying the groundwork for what would become the most comprehensive record of the English language.

🧸 February 15, 1903 - The very first teddy bear went on sale after a shop owner received permission from President Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt to use his nickname. The cuddly toy quickly became a childhood classic.

🧬February 28, 1953 - Scientists revealed the spiral structure of DNA, forever changing how we understand genetics.

Which of these February milestones do you find most interesting? Share your thoughts in the comments!
