We all know that rising interest rates are a growing concern with our buyers. I think we can all agree that rates will have to go down eventually. See, like our economy, interest rates are cyclical. If you look at history, rates go up, rates go down, and I wouldn't expect that trend to change. When will interest rates come back down? I'd be wary of any mortgage professional that tries to make any sort of detailed prediction. However, most of us believe it will be sometime around 2024.

A temporary buy down may be a good option for you. If you’re shopping for a home right now, you’ve probably heard how high interest rates are getting. Fortunately, there are many options out there that can potentially save you thousands.

Rate buydowns are very simple and are not the same as an Adjustable Rate Mortgage or “ARM”.

As the housing market continues to cool, buyers are in a much better position to negotiate with sellers. The most common way to utilize the temporary buydown is to use seller concessions.
