Before your kids head out the door, make sure they know how to get to school safely, no matter how they are getting there. Here are a few tips to keep in mind:

šŸ”µWalking to school? Stick to sidewalks, cross only at crosswalks, make eye contact with drivers before stepping into the street, and always walk in a group when possible.

šŸ”µRiding a bike? A properly fitted helmet is non-negotiable. Remind students to ride on the right side of the road with traffic, come to a complete stop before crossing, and choose a route with minimal intersections and light traffic.

šŸ”µTaking the bus? Students should stand at least 6 feet back from the curb when waiting for a bus, wait for the bus to come to a complete stop before boarding, and never walk behind or in front of a bus without making eye contact with the driver first.

šŸ”µGetting dropped off? If you drive your child to school, obey school zone speed limits, follow your school's drop-off procedure, and never pass a bus that is loading or unloading children.

šŸ”µTeen drivers? Review the basics of safe driving. This includes, but is not limited to, having all passengers wear seatbelts, putting devices away while driving, and driving the speed limit.

We hope you find these tips helpful as students transition back to school. As always, if you have any needs or questions, do not hesitate to reach out to our team. We are happy to help. https://rmia.biz/

Fall means cooler weather, changing leaves—and more wildlife near Colorado roads. šŸ¦ŒšŸ‚

Stay alert, especially around dawn and dusk, reduce your speed in wildlife-prone areas, and remember that deer often travel in groups.

If a collision does happen, damage caused by an animal is typically covered under comprehensive auto insurance—not collision coverage. Make sure your policy gives you the protection you expect before you need it. Reach out... we're here to provide answers... https://rmia.biz/

When you actually need your insurance company… suddenly nobody wants to turn around. 😭

Filing a claim is stressful enough. Getting someone to actually answer your questions shouldn’t make it worse.

That’s one of the biggest advantages of working with a personal insurance broker — you have a real person in your corner who can help you navigate the process when you need it most.

Because insurance isn’t just about getting a policy. It’s about having someone there when it’s time to actually use it. šŸ¤

What insurance does your business really need? šŸ¤”

The answer isn’t always as simple as picking a standard policy and calling it a day. Every business has different risks — from the work you do and the property you own to your employees, vehicles, customers, and everything in between.

The right coverage starts with understanding where your business is actually exposed.

Protect what you’ve worked hard to build. šŸ¢šŸ›”ļø

The first year on the job can be one of the riskiest. According to IA Magazine, 35% of workplace injuries occur during an employee’s first year.

Strong onboarding, hands-on safety training, clear procedures, and regular check-ins can help protect new employees—but accidents can still happen.

Make sure your workers’ compensation coverage is ready to protect both your employees and your business. Contact RMIA for a personalized coverage review.

The cheapest policy can become the most expensive one when it leaves you underinsured. 😬

An independent insurance broker isn’t limited to just one company. We compare coverage and options from multiple carriers to help you find a policy that protects what matters—not simply the lowest number on the page.

Because saving money is only a win when you still have the coverage you need.

Wildfire season is here, and ensuring that you and your loved ones are prepared is a crucial step. Beyond memorizing evacuation routes and packing a go-bag, reviewing your homeowners and auto insurance policies can be a key step to help prepare in case the worst were to happen.

That said, it’s a good idea to confirm that your homeowners or renters policy covers fire, smoke, and ash damage, and check your auto policy if you want coverage for your vehicle as well, since that typically falls under a comprehensive auto policy rather than homeowners coverage.

Additionally, look at your additional living expenses limits and ask yourself honestly whether they would cover your costs if you were displaced for several weeks or longer.

If you have questions about your current coverage, or if you want to talk through layering on policies to help protect your belongings in case of a wildfire, don’t hesitate to reach out to our team. We are here to help protect what you have built. https://rmia.biz/
