Closing day!๐ก๐๐
This was a special closing because not only is the borrower my repeat client, but also the listing agent was the seller and a good friend with whom I've worked on a few transactions in the past year - him always being the listing agent.
This house had come back on the market because financing fell through for the previous buyer. As soon as the seller/listing agent saw my client's offer and my pre-approval letter attached to it, he reached out to me (with excitement and a sense of relief) since he had worked with me and Fairway in the past. Since he got burnt the first time around, he was a bit skeptical about the other offers that had come in. He didn't know these other lenders and didn't want to trust their pre-approvals because things could go wrong again like his previous buyer.
I assured him that these are my repeat clients from last 3 years and very strong buyers. We'd close them in 2 weeks if that's what he wanted, but my clients badly wanted this house and we'll do anything to make that happen!
He said, "Just because it is you, Anya, and I know you are a person of your word and I can trust you and Fairway that you've done your due diligence like all the transactions we've closed smoothly in the past. Let's close this deal! You'll have the executed contract in your inbox in the next hour."
