Are super low mortgage rates making a comeback
Not overnight, but Fannie Mae does expect rates to ease some. Their latest forecast has the average 30-year mortgage rate around 5.8% in 2026 and about 5.5% in 2027, which could give buyers, sellers, and investors a little more breathing room.
Even a small drop in rates can help with payment, buying power, and opportunity. If you have been waiting on the sidelines, this may be the time to start paying attention again.
