The Ohio Gold Star Family Association (OGSFA) is an organization that acts as an emotional, educational, and financial support group for families of fallen military service men and women. The Ohio Gold Star Family Association (OGSFA) desires to support families who have lost a loved one in the military as well as provide a way to honor and memorialize their lost loved one. OGSFA hopes to provide d

irect emotional support to Families of the Fallen in the early stages of their loss, as well as give continued support to families throughout the years. By attending the Ohio Department of Veterans Services quarterly meetings, OGSFA hopes to provide advocacy for Families of the Fallen by voicing concerns regarding issues that affect them. OGSFA has participated in memorial events, such as Roses Across America, the Memorial Day Candlelight Vigil, the Concert at the Park, and the Stark County Fair. OGSFA hopes to have an annual Ohio Gold Star Family Retreat, a cost-free entire weekend event for Families of the Fallen, that includes a "5K for the Fallen" race and family fun walk. OGSFA has connections with organizations such as The SN Warner Family Association, the Ohio Patriot Guard Riders, and the City Bible Church.
