The Results Are In! 🎨🏆

F&M Kids Bank Coordinator Sarah Oldfield encouraged local students to get creative and participate in the Community Bankers of Iowa Poster Contest, and we are excited to share the results!

Out of more than 1,000 entries submitted across Iowa, three local students were selected as winners!

🥇 1st Place – Elliott Neal
West Burlington Independent School District
$200 Winner

🥈 2nd Place – Ruby Rider
Burlington Notre Damel
$100 Winner

🥉 3rd Place – Sebastian Atkinson
Great River Christian School
$50 Winner

Each month, a department has the opportunity to select a nonprofit to support, and this month the Loan Department chose The Self Reliance Group.

The Self Reliance Group partners to develop and implement programs, partnerships, and services that assist rural veterans in managing and caring for their individual health outcomes.

Learn about an upcoming event they are hosting on Friday, July 24 @ SEIA Veterans Stand Down.

This donation is a monetary gift, allowing it to be used where it’s needed most. We are proud to support all things local. As a community bank, it’s simply who we are.

Sarah Oldfield, F&M Kids Bank Coordinator joined the students and staff at Grimes Elementary School for a special assembly recognizing students who achieved the highest scores in their classes on recent math and reading assessments. Their reward? The opportunity to throw pies at some very willing volunteers!

Sarah was a great sport as she took several pies to the face alongside members of the Burlington School Board, parents, firefighters, educators, and the principal.

Thank you, Sarah, for always representing F&M Kids Bank with a smile and for being willing to jump right into the fun. We appreciate all you do for our students and schools!

What a special afternoon celebrating Jesse Petty and his retirement!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to wish this special guy the very best in retirement. After 36 years of owning his own business, it certainly is not easy saying goodbye to so many loyal customers and friends.

To us, Jesse will always be a part of the F&M family, and that contagious smile of his will truly be missed around the lobby each day.
