FYI!!
Here are five things NOT to do when you’re pulled over while armed:
Don’t start digging for your wallet or registration early. Sudden movements near the console, waistband, or glove box spike an officer’s anxiety.
Don’t reach for anything as the officer walks up. Hands wandering around the cabin can cause an officer to draw a gun.
Don’t get out of the car (unless you’re asked to). Once you’re outside, the risk of a physical confrontation goes way up.
Don’t argue your case roadside. The shoulder of the highway is not the place to “talk about your rights.” Save it for court with your attorney.
Don’t let your tone turn angry or sarcastic. Escalation helps no one … especially the armed citizen.
