With the expected snow in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.

Read below for ways to stay safe and prepare:

❄️ Check your food and power supply - Stock non-perishable food items, batteries, and flashlights in case you get snowed in and lose power.

❄️ Ready your equipment for snow - If you have a snow blower, make sure it works before the storm and locate your shovels and salt.

❄️ Prep your car for winter roads - Swap out your windshield washer fluid for one that de-ices and inspect your windshield wipers. Make sure your tires are prepared for snow and check the pressure.

❄️ Bring pets indoors - As temperatures drop, pets should be brought inside, away from the elements.

Did you know that 1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime?

It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and I invite you to join us in supporting all of those affected by this disease. Use your voice to make a difference in your circles, especially with your loved ones, by reminding them about the importance of regular screenings.

Under the Affordable Care Act, most insurance plans cover mammograms every 1 to 2 years for women starting at age 40, with no out-of-pocket costs. This means your screening could be fully covered, depending on your specific plan. For those at higher risk, screenings might need to begin earlier, and coverage details can vary.
