She’s the first smiling face you see when you step through our home office doors.

Today, on Administrative Professionals Day, we’re excited to recognize Nancy Lawrence, executive assistant to members of Highland’s Leadership team — who she sometimes refers to as the “five guys.”

Nancy often refers to managing our Birmingham, Ala. office as “running a second home.” She supports our executive team across every detail, from calendar coordination and travel arrangements to in-person support. From planning meetings for five to 50 people to acting as a project manager, problem solver and morale booster – she does it all.

With more than 25 years of experience, Nancy’s role continues to grow as trust and responsibilities expand. She brings adaptability, humor, and deep institutional knowledge to every challenge and plays a key role in supporting the relationships that move Highland forward.

Highland President Teague Atkinson Wright recently joined host Chuck Anderson for an interview on the Off the Page with Aspire Magazine podcast with a special message for financial advisors.

Regarding the number of Americans turning 65 every day from now through 2027, and the opportunities they present, Teague said, “It’s a good time to be in the insurance planning business.”
