We are a local concrete company that was founded in 1971 in the basement of a home on Huckle Hill Road in Bernardston MA. The company was built on strong work ethics, honest values, and high standards for quality. Forty years later we stand and thrive on those same things. A patio isn't just a slab of concrete, it is where your kids will sit around the picnic table and you will get to watch a beautiful night sky; a toy store isn't just walls and a floor, it is the foundation where your child will be supported on when he buys his first stufed animal. Not only do we do care about our employees, we also care about their families 🥰. We were heartbroken to learn that Kathie was diagnosed with breast cancer. While we wish we could do more, we were thankful to be able to do a gun raffle to help raise funds to help her in this difficult time. A huge thank you 🙏 to all the employees, families, and friends who purchased tickets to support her, and congratulations to the two winners, Kevin and Pierre 🥳!

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Lawrence E. Giard, the founder of our Valley family.

In 1971, Lawrence (aka Buddy or Senior), founded Valley Masonry out of his home on Huckle Hill Road in Bernardston with his brother Albert (aka Tinker). He promptly put his three sons, Alan, Larry, and David to work at the concrete flatwork and forming company. Lawrence was a very astute businessman who was able to navigate many obstacles with his ever-positive attitude. Upon Lawrence’s retirement in 1993, his son Larry took the reins and continued to grow and expand the company. Today, though our name has changed to Valley Concrete and Construction, we continue to carry on the traditions, hard work, and professionalism that Lawrence instilled in all of us. Lawrence will forever be fondly remembered by the multitudes of customers, suppliers, employees, and friends that had the pleasure of doing business with him. With his passing we pay our respects to the man that had the Valley vision. Rest easy Senior.
