Behind every strong brand is a workflow that actually works.

Taking time to tidy the systems behind your business—your files, communication, and processes—can make everything run more smoothly day to day.

A more thoughtful workflow creates space for focus, creativity, and the work that matters most.

What we’re working on: Refining our client process from start to finish—keeping the core structure the same, but making thoughtful adjustments to improve flow, feedback, and the overall experience.

Your social presence should support your brand—not overwhelm you.
Start by streamlining your content, refining your visuals, and creating more consistency across your feed.

A little structure can make showing up feel more natural, more cohesive, and easier to maintain.

What we’re working on: We recently created a new batch of social media templates to bring more consistency and a fresh look to how we show up across platforms. Doing the design work ahead of time also makes posting each week much more effortless.

Spring is a natural time to revisit your brand and see what still fits—and what doesn’t.

Focus on the small but meaningful updates: color tweaks, typography refinements, refreshed imagery, and clearer messaging.

Think of it as a seasonal tune-up that brings everything back into focus and strengthens how your brand shows up.

What we’re working on: Exploring an alternate heading font for marketing materials—something that complements our current type system but adds a bit more contrast for social and email.

If your website hasn’t been updated in a while, this is a good place to start. Here are a few simple ways to refresh your site:

• tighten your copy
• update your visuals
• refine your navigation
• clear out anything that’s no longer serving you

A few intentional edits can make your entire digital presence feel more aligned and fresh.

What we’re working on: Updating our service details and naming, along with building out new case studies to better reflect the sites we’ve been designing recently.

Happy spring! This season, we’re breaking down a simple four‑part refresh to help you step into spring with a brand that feels clear and intentional. Each day this next week, we’ll focus on one area—your website, your brand, your socials, and your workflow—to give you practical ways to reset without the overwhelm. Think of it as a gentle, structured reset for your business’s digital home.

Squarespace vs. Wix — how do you know which website builder is the right fit for your business?

As many of you know, we design and build almost exclusively on Squarespace. But Wix is another platform people frequently compare it to, especially when deciding where to launch their first website.

At a glance, the two can look very similar. Both offer templates, drag-and-drop editing, hosting, and tools to help small businesses get online without needing to code. But the real difference comes down to how each platform approaches design and flexibility.

Do you want a more guided system that helps you create a polished, cohesive website?

Or do you prefer complete freedom to move elements anywhere and customize layouts without structure?

In this post, we break down the key differences between Squarespace and Wix, where each platform tends to shine, and the questions worth asking before choosing one. If you’ve ever wondered which platform makes the most sense for your business, this one’s for you.

We recently wrapped up this website project for , a nonprofit native plant nursery based in Bellingham, WA.

Lauren and Avery started Big Leaf Nursery in 2023 with a mission to grow and supply locally grown, affordable native plants to conservation groups and nonprofits throughout the Pacific Northwest. With more nurseries reducing their native plant stock, their work helps ensure these important species remain available for restoration projects and environmental initiatives.

For this project, they chose our Wireframe Makeover offering—starting with existing page wireframes and transforming them into a fully custom design and build tailored to their needs. The goal was a clean, easy-to-navigate site that could serve multiple audiences: organizations purchasing plant stock, community members learning about their nonprofit, and supporters interested in volunteering or donating.

We expanded their color palette, incorporated the leaf graphic from their logo as a subtle texture throughout the site, and created custom plant lightboxes so visitors can easily explore the species they grow. As spring approaches, the site will continue to evolve with more photos and videos of the plants in bloom.

We always enjoy getting to work with organizations doing meaningful work in their communities. Check out their new site and learn more about their mission through the link in our bio!

Behind every project is a thoughtful kickoff.

We gather notes, review client inspiration, ask questions, and make sure we understand the bigger picture before moving into design.

It’s our way of staying grounded, aligned, and intentional — so the final site feels strategic, not accidental.

A website can hold all the right information — your services, your pricing, your story — but without thoughtful design, it doesn’t always translate.

Good web design bridges that gap. It organizes, prioritizes, and presents information in a way that makes it easy for visitors to understand what you do, who it’s for, and what to do next.

That clarity is what turns visitors into inquiries.

We’re so excited to begin a new website project with — an artist creating handcrafted ceramics inspired by western life, vintage character, and pieces designed to be kept for years to come.

As we started the project, it was clear the new site needed to do more than support monthly pottery drops. The goal is to create a space that feels like an artist’s home online — one that blends ecommerce with storytelling, showcases her portfolio, and reflects the nostalgic, Americana-inspired world behind her work.

This moodboard is the direction we landed on. Think more illustrations, richer color, lifestyle imagery, and a site that feels as thoughtful and timeless as the pieces themselves.

We’ll be sharing more behind-the-scenes moments as the design comes together — and can’t wait to show you the finished site when it launches.

We love working with entrepreneurs and small businesses because no two journeys look the same. Some clients are launching something brand new, while others are ready to evolve the website they’ve been running for years — and both deserve the same thoughtful support.

Our goal is to meet people where they are, whether that’s in their budget, their stage of growth, or simply how they prefer to work. With flexible options and a collaborative approach, we aim to create a process that feels comfortable, clear, and built around you.
