🎓 Scholarship Reminder - Due February 14th! 🎓
Student must have at least one parent that subscribes to services from Farmers Mutual Telephone to qualify. Graduating high school seniors who meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply. Each scholarship has its own detailed criteria, and their values range from $1,000 to $9,000. One application qualifies a student for all available FRS scholarships.

🎓The 2026 FRS Scholarship Program is accepting scholarship applications!

All applicants must be sponsored by a member of NTCA - The Rural Broadband Association.

🕵️‍♂️A question we receive is: Are streaming boxes such as Superbox legal that claim to have free Live TV & movies?
👉First of all, we don't monitor or control what customers run on their network. However, we want you to be aware that using unauthorized streaming boxes/apps like these can lead to serious legal and security consequences.
The box itself is not illegal. It's what you choose to stream on the device when you could face legal trouble. Cybersecurity can also be compromised in your home due to malware on these devices.
Why Should You Be Cautious?
❗️Security Risks:
Many third-party apps operate outside official app stores, meaning they don’t go through standard security checks. This increases the risk of:
- Malware infections
- Privacy breaches
- Devices being used for cybercrime activities like advertising fraud or botnets. Some devices may even come with factory-installed software that includes hidden vulnerabilities.
❗️Legal Risks:
Streaming copyrighted content without authorization violates U.S. laws such as the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Users could face:
- Fines or legal action
- Termination of legitimate streaming accounts
**While the device manufacturer only sells the hardware, the responsibility for content legality falls solely on the user.
