We were originally the Department of Hospitals Credit Union, but changed our name in the 80s to better reflect our membership base. We serve all state hospitals and more than 150 private companies in Louisiana. This credit union is federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration.

The power of the right financial partner.

When Kyle Ford walked into Pelican's St. Landry branch, he was searching for a better banking experience, and he found it.

With guidance from our team, he paid off unsecured debt, lowered his auto loan rate, and added a Bonus Visa Credit Card. He also moved his business, Ford’s Lawn Service, LLC, to Pelican.
