With all of the presidential chaos going on, it reminded me of a conversation I had with a client that had lived in England where they have Socialized Medicine. Something I urge all of you NOT to vote for. Her brother needs help, and they will not give any patient an appointment to see a doctor until a consultation over the phone is conducted. Once that is verified then you get an appointment which is weeks out...imagine how much more ill you can become just waiting. We are very lucky in this country to be able to get in to a doctor the SAME day and be seen. Count your blessings. Another person I had a conversation had a father living in New Zealand. This lady was very well to do and was insistent in telling me how wonderful the care was there. I explained, my view from years of working in this industry...which did not matter to her until... her father was sick. They basically told her, your dad is too old to treat and of course he did pass away shortly after this illness.
I know I don't want to wait 6 months if I needed an MRI...this is what we hare headed for, if we don't pay attention to what we vote for.

Tonight we attended the Grand Opening of Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group in downtown San Diego. If you are looking for a doctor and live near the downtown area, this facility is a "must see". The facility is beautiful and we toured through all of the different departments, such as Radiology, Optometry, Lab, Family Practice and Internal Medicine Doctors. The waiting rooms give you the feeling of a hotel experience rather than a Medical facility. You are surrounded by peaceful art photos. You can even email your doctor questions, in times of need if you are a patient of this network of doctors. So if you are looking for a new doctor, let us know and we can possibly help you get connected to this doctor network. We met many doctors and can say they really show they care.
