KEDF Mentoring Programs

KEDF Mentoring Programs KEDF’s mentoring programs give high school students the soft skills, work ethic, and confidence they need to become top prospects for future employers.

KEDF is home to workforce development mentoring programs, with a special emphasis in STEM industries. Our programs are currently housed at Independence High School's Energy and Utility Career Academy, and East Bakersfield High School's Health Careers Academy. Mentoring sessions take place just one hour per month, and follow a curriculum created by a partnership between local educators and business

es. Students learn lessons that are often absent from their regular school schedule, including proper professional dress, interview skills, financial literacy, and more. We are always looking for new mentors from the Kern County business community. Any local professional from any industry may join the program. Contact KEDF if you're interested in learning more.
