🎉💜 AUGUST’S $65 WINNER IS… MELISSA! 💛🎉

Help us give a BIG congratulations to Melissa, our August New Member Giveaway winner! 🥳

Melissa joined us from the Mower County Housing Department and was referred to Mower County Employees Credit Union by a fellow coworker— which means they both win! 🎉

As we celebrate our 65th Anniversary all year long, we’re giving a little something back to the people who make our credit union special. Each month, one new member who opens an account with us is randomly selected to receive a $65 deposit credit — AND the member who referred them receives $65, too! 💰

That’s what we call a **WIN-WIN!** 🙌

💜 Why does it pay to “bank” local?

🌱 Your money stays close to home. We’re proud to be rooted right here in Mower County.

🤝 You’re more than a number. We know our members, serve our community, and believe in personal service.

💰 You help your community grow. As a member-owned credit union, our focus is on serving our members — not outside shareholders.

🎉 And sometimes, you get rewarded for being a member! 😉

Congratulations again, Melissa — and congratulations to her coworker who referred her! 🎊

**Rooted in Mower County. Growing Together.** 🌱💜

🎉🐷 **A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR AUGUST PROMOTION WINNERS!** 🐷🎉

We had SO much fun celebrating our youth members during our August promotion! 💰📚 This month, youth members who opened a youth account, opened our Back-to-School Club, or added another account had a chance to win one of our **filled piggy banks**—and we had so many youth members participate that we were able to add a few extra prizes! 🎁

🥳 **Congratulations to our Youth Winners!**

🐷 **Oliver** — Winner of a filled piggy bank!
🐷 **Nathan** — Winner of a filled piggy bank!
🏦 **Riley** — Winner of a **Dave Ramsey Smart Saver Bank!**
📚 **Jeremiah** — Winner of the **Junior Adventure Storytime Collection: Teaching Kids How to Win with Money** by Dave Ramsey!

And the fun didn't stop with our youth members! **All of our members, including adults, had a chance to play along!** Everyone could guess how much money would be inside our little piggy banks. Would it be $10? $25? $50? 🤔🐷

The answer was… **$25 worth of nickels!** 🪙🪙🪙

We randomly selected two winners from all of the entries, and each winner is receiving a **$25 gift card!** 🎁

🎉 Congratulations to **Jerry and Mark!**

What makes credit unions different?

We believe in coming together—not just to strengthen the credit union movement, but to strengthen the communities we call home. 💙💛

The Hiawatha Chapter of Credit Unions had a wonderful and successful August Educational Event, proudly hosted by the Austin Credit Union team of Accentra Credit Union City Employees Credit Union County Catholic Parishes & County Employees Credit Union! We were thrilled to welcome 54 attendees for an evening of connection, education, and giving back.

A special thank-you goes to Tony Ofstead, Financial Crimes Task Force Commander with the BCA, for sharing his expertise and helping us better understand today's fraud and scam threats. Criminals may not always “kick in the door” anymore—they often call, text, and email their way in—making this timely presentation especially valuable for those of us working to protect and educate our members.

We are also incredibly grateful to the Historic Home in Austin, Minnesota, for hosting us and providing exceptional service, along with a delicious array of food and beverages that helped make the evening so enjoyable!

And perhaps one of the best parts of the evening was seeing our credit union community come together for a great cause. Through our raffle and the generosity of those in attendance, we raised $265 for Rachel's Hope Pregnancy & Parenting Resource Center. ❤️

A huge shout-out to our entire Austin Credit Union team for working together to plan, organize, and make this event such a success. Events like these are a wonderful reminder of what the credit union movement is all about: **people helping people.**

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported the event, donated to the raffle, and helped make the evening a success. We are proud to be part of a movement that continues to invest in one another and the communities we serve!
