Last Friday, our team volunteered at the Central Texas Food Bank.

Together, we helped provide 2,916 meals to the community. It was a meaningful way to spend time as a team while supporting an organization that plays such an important role locally.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to be involved.

We often highlight the technical side of financial planning: investment management, tax strategies, and retirement modeling. But recent research from Vanguard points to something just as important.

Clients gain time, confidence, and emotional relief from working with an advisor.

🔹 76% of advised clients say they save time, even though only 38% expected to
🔹 86% report greater peace of mind
🔹 71% feel more confident about their future
🔹 60% experience lower anxiety
🔹 Only 24% of self-directed investors report similar emotional benefits

These outcomes shape how clients live and make decisions.

The bottom line:

Working with an advisor may help reduce stress, increase clarity, and create space for clients to focus on what matters most. Our value isn’t limited to financial returns. It shows up in how people feel about their future.

Vanguard (2024), The Emotional and Time Value of Financial Advice

07/26/2025

A study from the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) finds that about 20% of retirees express regret over claiming Social Security too early

This decision often stems from emotions rather than financial necessity. Common drivers include:
💠 A desire to “get something back” sooner
💠 Fear that the system may not last
💠 Wanting a reward after exiting the workforce

These are not just financial decisions, but emotional ones.

As advisors, here’s how we step in to effectively guide clients:
💠 Model the financial tradeoffs of early vs. delayed claiming using lifetime benefit comparisons
💠 Address emotional underpinnings, like fear of missing out or worries about system solvency
💠 Use behavioral framing techniques to reinforce why patience might pay or when it is appropriate to cash in early.

Helping clients make informed, intentional decisions can prevent regrets that resonate for decades.

We’re not the right advisor for everyone.

And we’re okay with that.

If you’re looking for quick stock picks, a perfectly timed entry point, or a dashboard of blinking lights, we are not your firm.

What we do is help people think through complex financial questions with clarity and calm. We coordinate across your assets, your risks, your goals, and the realities of your life. We listen more than we talk. We’re strategic, not reactive.

There are plenty of platforms that automate asset allocation and call it a plan. They serve a purpose.

But if what you need is a real, thinking partner, not just a login, we may be the right fit.

If you think this sounds like you, let's talk.

Can I really afford this?
It’s a question we hear more often than you’d expect — and not from people struggling with money.
From people with substantial assets, multiple properties, strong income, long careers and no formal budget… and never needed one.

But here’s the truth:
Having wealth doesn’t always translate into financial clarity.
When cash flow is complex, assets are tied up, or spending is untracked, even very successful people ask the same thing:
Can I really afford this, or am I just assuming I can?

The answer isn’t in a spreadsheet or a budget app.
It’s in building a system that shows what’s sustainable, what’s at risk, and what decisions will ripple down the line.

This isn’t about cutting back.
It’s about spending with confidence and knowing you won’t look back with regret.

Now is the time to check your progress, revisit your plan, and make adjustments while you still have options.

✅ Are you on track with your savings goals?
✅ Have there been income or market changes?
✅ Are your investments, taxes, and estate documents still aligned?

Mid-year is a smart time to review—not because something’s wrong, but because this is when timing still works in your favor.

If it’s been a while since you looked at the full picture, this is your reminder to pause, reassess, and plan forward.
