If you’re able to volunteer to speak Monday, our public schools could use your voice.

The Commission hearing on March 19 is a rare chance for Texans to speak out in a public forum about the value of public education.

Early numbers look good. You all have made an incredible difference for our kids and our city!

It's Election Day Austin! Polls are open from 7am-7pm. Turnout has been extremely low so far. The upside of that is knowing that your vote really matters. I implore you to vote FOR the Austin School Bond - Prop A on the ballot. This is an exceptionally well thought out bond package that brings signfiicant upgrades to schools in every part of our district. If you have questions about the bond that are preventing you from supporting it, please ask me and I will do my best to share resources to assist you. If you're the type who values research done by other organizations, here is a extensive list of bond supporters. You can vote at ANY polling location - all you need is your ID. Here's a list:

Election Day is tomorrow! Southwest Austin kids need you!

Data on voter turnout from early voting sites around southwest Austin show that participation has been VERY LOW in our area, even in comparison with other parts of the city.

You can vote on election day at ANY Travis County Poling location. SW Austin locations include Mills, Clayton, Bailey & Bowie (not Kiker) or the Randalls on Brodie (but not the one on Wm Cannon).

Today's elementary-aged kids will reap the improvements of the bond, especially the significant investment in Bowie High School. The bond is structured to NOT increase your property tax rate.

Please forward this reminder to two friends! Our schools are depending on us stepping up and showing up!

FINAL PUSH!!!! We need volunteers to stand outside of the following schools on Tuesday at pickup and dropoff time to remind people to vote:
1. Bowie
2. Covington
3. Mills
4. Clayton
5. Kiker
If you can help out, please message me or leave a post stating which school you commit to being at along with whether you'll be AM, PM, or both. THANKS!

Voter turnout is still been extremely low for this election. The good side of this is that a) your vote REALLY matters and b) virtually no lines. You can early vote today and tomorrow at the Randalls on Brodie & Slaughter or on William Cannon & Mopac. Please take the time to cast a YES vote for our Austin school bond! We'd love to see a picture of you with your "I Voted" sitcker in the comments. Feel free to "like" and "share" this post!

Kiker’s Schoolbell Blitz was a success! We got the word out to many parents that early voting has started. The closest location is Randall’s at Brodie and Slaughter. Kiker will not be a polling place on Nov. 7th (Clayton, Mills, and Bowie are), so voting early will definitely save Circle C families time! Would your school like to host one too? Contact us! Baldwin, Cowan, and Clayton are already scheduled!!! "One ringy dingy..." Come on over to my house tonight anytime between 5:30-8:30 and make some phone calls to remind our neighbors to vote for the Austin School Bond. Did you know less than 2% of Travis County voters have voted so far? And that the last school bond failed by a mere 200 votes? Our calls, unlike Lily Tomlin's, CAN make a difference! Message me for the address. If you can't or won't make calls, drop a small donation here so you won't feel guilty: www.paypal.me/SWVolunteers
