You probably know someone that is on Medicaid. You definitely know someone on Medicare. In the coming weeks/months, many of these folks are going to have to deal with the loss of their coverage, unless there is a drastic course correction in Washington.

You probably also know someone that is enrolled in a Marketplace Health Plan. Many of these people will also be facing difficulties affording their coverage due to the loss of the Advanced Premium Tax Credit that makes ACA health plans more affordable for individuals and families nationwide.

If these people don't have someone to assist them, they will be forced to deal with it themselves, or simply go without health insurance. Calling and sitting on hold with Medicare or the Marketplace is frustrating and the person that answers the phone does not always know what they are talking about. I know this because I do it almost every day. They certainly aren't licensed or qualified to recommend coverage.

Please forward my contact information to anyone you know that may need assistance. I can't work magic, but I'll do everything I can to make sure that they do not have to give up their coverage.
I don't care about your politics. I just care about people and making sure they are able to see a doctor if they need to; to get testing if they need to; to have surgery if they need to; to be able to afford their prescriptions.

I have been licensed in most states since 2010. I have helped thousands of people navigate these waters. It's beginning to look like there will be a large disruption in these markets. Frankly, I don't know the degree to which these markets will change, but I do know that most people are confused when trying to decide on coverage *without* these expected changes.

Just 18 days left in the Annual Election Period to review and change your Prescription Drug Plan(Part D) for 2025. If you or someone you know has Part D and hasn't reviewed your options for next year, please reach out. I have talked to so many people this year that thought there were no changes for next year, but a review saved them hundreds of dollars. Many Medicare recipients have recently received, or soon will be receiving their Annual Notice of Change regarding their Part D Prescription Drug Plan or their Medicare Advantage Plan. Due to changes made by the Inflation Reduction Act, many of these plans will terminate January 1, 2025.
Other plans will see increases in the monthly premium and/or changes to the formulary, leading to increased or unexpected co-pays at the pharmacy.
The annual election period to make changes to these plans begins October 15 and runs through December 7. If a plan changes or terminates January 1 and a new enrollment has not been submitted by December 7, there will be no opportunity for many in this situation to correct the issue until this time next year.
I have specialized in Medicare and these plans since 2010, helping thousands of people, in nearly all 50 states, become informed about changes to their coverage and annually reviewing their options to make sure they have the best coverage available to them at the lowest rate.

If you or anyone you know has a Medicare plan with Florida Blue, they should be aware that as of October 1, Baptist Health will no longer be in network. I have been able to switch coverage for many of these clients with an effective date of October 1, so they will not have to worry about finding a new doctor. I just spoke with a client that still had a Plan F she enrolled in way back in 2012. Her monthly premium was nearly $400. She just kept it because she thought she wouldn't qualify for new coverage. Her new Plan G beginning August 1 will be only $170 per month. Same day approval. We love helping our seniors!
