Welcome to Cub Scouts and Pack 332! Both boys and girls enjoy the many fun and meaningful programs and activities of Pack 332 throughout the year. Most of our scouts come from Wolf’s Crossing and Southbury Elementary Schools, but we are open to kids from other schools is the Aurora, Oswego and Plainfield, Illinois areas. Pack 332 has been chartered by the Oswego Rotary Club. For information on joi

Apart from fun and excitement, the aim of Cub Scouting is to help boys grow into good citizens who are strong in character, responsible and personally fit. This is why we say that Cub Scouts and Pack 332 is “fun with a purpose.”
Scouting depends solely on the involvement of the boys and their parents. Parent involvement is key to ensuring your son has an enjoyable experience in Cub Scouts. We extend an open invitation to our monthly committee meetings and encourage you to join our activities with the boys. Parent in-put is critical; we want your SON to have FUN! In addition, we strive to:
- Have 100% trained adult leadership for the best scout experience and highest quality program possible.
- Have the highest levels of scouts advancing in rank, and ensure that 100% of the advancements are accurately recorded and up to date.
- Have a solid, family-oriented program the whole family can enjoy, with 100% of parents actively participating in some way.
- Provide good citizenship to our community.
- Live up to the ideals of Scouting. Cub Scout Ranks:
Cub Scouts are divided into different ranks, de-pending on grade level. The ranks are as follows:
• Lion - Kindergarten
• Tiger – 1st Grade
• Wolf – 2nd Grade
• Bear – 3rd Grade
• Webelos I – 4th Grade
• Webelos II – 5th Grade
Webelos is an acronym for WE’ll BE LOyal Scouts. Note: All scouts must earn the Bobcat badge first regardless of age/rank at time of joining. Den Meetings (1-3x/month):
Scouts at each rank are divided into Dens of about 6-8 kids. Adult partners and leaders will plan trips and special activities; adults will assist the scouts with rank advancements and elective awards. Pack Meetings (Monthly):
All of the Dens meet jointly at the Pack Meeting. Pack Meeting activities are planned and lead by the Cubmasters and Activities Committee. The Cub Scouts will learn and practice Cub Scouting skills, play games and have fun as well as be rewarded with any achievements earned during the previous month’s activities. Other Pack Activities include (but are not limited to):
• Annual Popcorn Sale
• Monthly hikes
• Campouts (Fall, Winter, Spring)
• Rain Gutter Regatta
• Cubscicle
• Pinewood Derby
• Blue & Gold Banquet
• Rockets
• Conservation Projects
Family Values
Pack 332 strongly supports family values. All family members are welcome at all Pack activities, with the understanding that those members not registered with the BSA are not covered by BSA insurance. Please note that this is NOT a “Drop and Go” operation. Siblings are welcome to join us for crafts or fun activities during the meeting. Parents, not leaders, are responsible for discipline of Scouts and siblings at Pack activities. You can expect to have one activity that lasts for 1-2 hours a couple of times a month. This is usually for Den or Pack meetings. The time commitment increases if you participate in optional activities. What does it cost?
- Registration fee (one-time fee)
- Pack 332’s one and only fundraiser for the PACK is the annual popcorn sale in the Fall (Sept 1-Oct 31). The registration fee covers the cost of the program until we collect popcorn sales revenue. Do I have to sell popcorn? There are two options for covering the cost of scouting. You could choice the popcorn option or a buyout option to cover the annual costs for scouting or some combination of popcorn sales and buyout. Pack 332 Organizational Construct:
