It’s Ham, Bacon, and Egg Sale Season for FFA members! 🐖🥓🍳
As a former agricultural educator, I know firsthand the work it takes behind the scenes to advise students and organize events like this. There are countless hours that go into creating opportunities for kids to learn responsibility, agriculture, and real-world skills.
This program is especially meaningful to me because the foundation for these opportunities was laid years ago by my grandfather and my father. Agriculture education has always been part of our family, and seeing that legacy continue means a lot.
I’m especially proud of my son, Briar, who not only raised his market hog this year but expanded his SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) and now has a sow that recently had a litter of piglets. Watching the next generation take an interest in agriculture makes all those years of hard work feel worthwhile.
Mrs. Sulser and Mr. Lewis continue to build on that strong foundation. From maintaining a fully functioning meat lab to leading an outstanding Veterinary Science Program, they have invested countless hours creating one of the best agricultural education programs and facilities anywhere.
Our students are incredibly fortunate to be part of a program like this, and I’m grateful for the dedication these educators show every day to agricultural education. 🌱
Congratulations to our Ham and Bacon winners. Eggs will be judged tomorrow.
