Yesterday sucked…felt like absolute crap during and after my infusion started at the cancer center.

Went home, rested and let’s the meds they gave me to counter the side effects kick in.

Like they always say…today’s a new day.

JARVIS and I were up early and on the Peleton first thing this morning 👍🏻

Gemma and I got to meet and talk with ALOT of amazing wrestlers this weekend at RAF Wrestling’s Fanzone, the event last night, and at the clinic they put on today.

But I wanted to give a special shoutout to

Not just for taking the time he did to roll with Gemma this morning before the clinic…but for what I saw him do after the clinic was over today.

There were at least a couple hundred kids there and their parents at this clinic.

Mugsy was literally the last one of the clinicians there today because he took time with each and every kid there to not just sign an autograph or take a selfie, but I saw him talking with them, answering questions, and wrestling with every single kid who wanted a chance to do so, he even went and wrestled one of the last kid’s Dad because the little girl wanted to see her dad wrestle.

You could see Mugsy was already exhausted, but he did it anyway and gave that little girl an amazing moment she will likely never forget.

I’ve been a wrestling fan my entire life and I’ve met countless top wrestlers over the decades I’ve been around this sport, and after watching Mugzy at the last two RAF events here in Florida and seeing how much he gives of himself to his fans and followers I’ve never seen anyone like him.

God Bless you man and thank you for everything you do to help grow our sport!!!

Gemma saw Salma’s video from yesterday and she couldn’t wait to get in the gym this morning and get back to work!

She said we should start a morning workout challenge and tell Tara Lee to post one of and to do the same. Then have them tag another female wrestling or BJJ friend to keep it going👍🏻

Decisions Are Effort: 4 Reasons Why We Procrastinate on New Initiatives

We all love that feeling of crossing things off our to-do list. But have you ever wondered why starting something new feels so much harder?

✅ 1. Checking off tasks is easier than starting new things. It’s about familiarity—the effort to perform tasks we’ve done before is known, and so are the risks. There’s social pressure to get it done, and little friction in the way. But when it comes to new initiatives, the unknown is intimidating.

🚫 2. Resistance is often the culprit. Checking off a task? Easy. But new initiatives feel challenging because they require making decisions and stepping into the unknown. It’s not just about doing the work—it’s about making choices.

🧠 3. Decisions require energy and emotional labor. Writing a book? Typing is easy, but choosing what to write is tough. That’s because it’s not just a task, it’s a decision. Hard decisions are hard because we create stories about potential repercussions and responsibility.

📚 4. Simple tasks vs. hard choices: There’s a difference between repeating tasks and making decisions that push us forward. Initiatives require more than just effort—they require us to face uncertainty.

⏳ Once we acknowledge that taking initiative (which is more accurately described as ‘offering initiative’) requires effort, we can plan for it. Plan for effort and allocate the time and resources needed to move forward with clarity and confidence.

If we’re serious about moving the needle, we’ve got to own those decisions and take the time to think them through. That’s how real progress happens. 🚀
