Bowdon High School’s player of the week is Jonah Wilson. Wilson had 5 rushes for 35 yards and 2 TDs in the Red Devil’s 45-6 semifinal win over Clinch County. Bowdon is headed back to The Benz where they will take on Lincoln County on December 15 in the GHSA Class A Division II State Championship game.

Carrollton High School’s player of the game is Senior, Peyton Zachary. Zachary excelled in all 3 phases of the game for the Trojans. The senior recorded 5 receptions for 172 yards and a TD on offense. On special teams, Zachary had 3 punt returns for 28 yards. And defensively he tallied 1 tackle a 3rd down stop and a pass breakup. Zachary’s efforts helped lead Carrollton to a 48-21 semifinal win over North Gwinnett and a trip to The Benz for the GHSA class AAAAAA State title game against Buford on December 16.
