I know it is fall because the song birds that wake me up in spring and summer are not chirping away in the mornings. My beautiful Cardinal is only making rare appearances. My butterfly bush has gone dormant and no longer covered in beautiful purple blooms covered in butterflies and hummingbirds. One would fly up to see me each time I was on my deck. And the only bird sounds are the Canadian Geese honking on their way home. Days are getting shorter, temps. are cooler and it is dryer. Sadly we will have little color in our leaves because it was a wet summer and they are all just brown.
