MONDAY “HOW DO I…?” MONEY SERIES with Coach Lola 💰📈
How Do I Start Investing With Just $100?
One of the biggest misconceptions about investing is that you need a lot of money to begin.
You don’t.
$100 can be enough to take your first intentional step. The goal is not to get rich overnight, it is to learn, start, and build the habit of investing consistently.
Here’s a simple way to begin:
1. Know your goal.
What are you investing for...retirement, long-term wealth, your children’s future, or another goal?
2. Check your financial foundation.
Have a plan for your bills, emergency savings, and high-interest debt.
3. Choose the right account.
Depending on your goal, this could be a brokerage account, Roth IRA, or workplace retirement account.
4. Choose a reputable brokerage.
Look for low fees, low or no minimums, and access to fractional shares.
5. Learn about fractional shares.
You don’t always need enough money to purchase one full share of a company.
6. Think diversification.
Instead of putting everything into one company, learn about options such as broad-market ETFs or index funds.
7. Keep adding to it.
Your first $100 is the beginning. Whether it is $25, $50, or $100 at a time, consistency matters.
💡 Your first $100 may not make you wealthy overnight, but the habit you build with it can help change your financial future.
You don’t have to start big.
Start intentionally. Stay consistent. Keep learning.
BUILD wisely. GROW intentionally. THRIVE for the long term.™
