On February 14, 2026 Polk County Farm Bureau women's committee, Janice Stewart, and office manager, Sue Cuzzort, taught students how to make candy at Camp Antioch. Thirteen students and other volunteers helped with the agriculture program.

Polk County Farm Bureau office manager, Sue Cuzzort, read "The Great Pollinator County" to students at the Cedartown Library. They learned how the plants are pollinated to grow the food. Georgia grown peanuts, pollinator coloring sheets, packages of crayons, and suckers were given to the students to carry home with them. A member of Polk County Farm Bureau, dressed as George Washington, spoke to the students about the life of President George Washington.

Polk County Farm Bureau volunteers visited the Cedartown Library to read to the summer reading program. The book Zinnia's Flower Garen was read to eighteen students, coloring sheets with Zinnias were colored, seeds were planted and snacks were served. Stephanie Cole, member, Heather Blackmon, volunteer, and Sue Cuzzort, office manager, helped students with the planting of wild flowers.

On April 24, 2025 at Youngs Grove Elementary, Sue Cuzzort and LaDonna Hicks, volunteer, taught 87 students how to plant, corn, sweet peas, lima beans, Christmas lima beans, corn, Indian Corn, squash, and cucumbers. The students planted seeds of their choice in cups to germinate to take home and plant. Sue read the book of the month, The Chalk Garden, and served garden trail mix ingredients that represented products used in the garden. The students drew pictures of their own gardens they wanted to plant. It was a great ag day at school.

Polk County volunteers met at the Capitol on February 11 to meet with legislators and celebrate GFB Farm Bureau Day at the Capitol. Glenn Robinson, Sue Cuzzort, Chad Carlton, Julie Carlton, and Atticus Carlton met with Representative Trey Kelley, Senator Jason Anavitarte, and Lt. Governor Burt Jones. Governor Brian Kemp spoke at our luncheon. It is a great day to be a Polk County Farm Bureau member.
