Good news- While Anthem and Northside Hospital (Georgia) remain in ongoing discussions to reach a new long-term contract agreement, they have extended the current agreement for 30 days, until January 31, 2022.

💡 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝗽: Am I eligible to receive financial assistance from Healthcare.gov if I waive employer-sponsored medical coverage?

If you have health coverage available through your employer but are interested in obtaining coverage through the Healthcare.gov marketplace, consider the following.

• In order to qualify for Healthcare.gov savings, your employer plan would need to be considered as not meeting minimum affordability standards.
• An employer health plan is considered affordable if your share of the monthly premium for the employee-only tier of coverage is less than 9.61% of your household income.
• Most group health plans meet this standard for affordability and coverage. So, if you are eligible to receive medical coverage through your employer you will likely not qualify for financial assistance through Healthcare.gov.
