List of financial tips that may help someone so undecided to share :

1. Never underestimate the value of small savings. Something is better than nothing

2. Always think twice before buying, and don’t buy it unless you can afford it twice. This does not include houses

3. Make tracking your expenses a habit. Most people aren’t even looking at bank statements, look at what you’re spending money on at least once a month

4. Avoid spending money on things to impress others. Don’t go broke trying to “look” rich

5. Do not ignore budgeting. This is the foundation of finance

7. Put money away for your future or retirement outside of just your employer, your employer plan is almost never enough money

8. Avoid falling for "get rich quick" schemes. Trust me if these worked, we’d all be rich

9. Make saving money a non-negotiable routine. Think of this as more important than your next glass of wine or uber eats

10. Avoid lifestyle inflation. Just because you make more money does not always mean you should spend more

11. Learn to distinguish between needs and wants.

12. Always have an emergency fund. I recommend at least 3 months of your expensss

13. Give every dollar a mission to grow and multiply.

14. Avoid putting all your savings in one basket.

15. Understand how money works.

There's always something about new headshots that motivate me to want to do better.

Better personally
Better spiritually
Better physically
Better professionally
Better financially

As I start thinking through my end of the year, I reflect on the goals I've set to achieve in 2023 and am thinking now how I can do better for 2024. Something I have always found important to think through is that when it comes to achieving big goals or ideas, why wait until the calendar tells us its a new year?

Start planning and doing things NOW to make the remainder of your year and the next year even better for yourself, dont wait!

As we near the holidays, I want everyone to think "BUDGET"

You don't need to spend $500-1000 just because it's Christmas, sentimental or thoughtful gifts go a long way.

If you're currently in debt or have no savings, please try not to go further backwards in your financial journey just for some gifts that bring temporary happiness. The financial hardship will not be worth it and it'll end up in long-term discouragement.

Just because something is for "Sale" does not mean it is a good deal.

I encourage everyone to gift themselves for christmas the idea of being financially free, whatever that may look like for you.

If you need a good budget, think of spending 10% of one months paycheck on your total christmas gifts. This is of course if you're able to pay cash for it twice, have some money in savings, and aren't drowning in credit card debt.

I look forward to continue helping those budget their entire lives, including the months that seem to be more difficult for people. Christmas month is only difficult financially if you don't prepare for it.

I have had a lot of people come to me regarding debt recently. People are very stressed, overwhelmed, and unsure really how to pay debt down. If you have debt at all, I am going to give you a very simple and easy to implement strategy to knock out your debt more efficiently, so read until the end.

Honestly, the best piece of advice I can give to anyone is to come up with an actual plan of how to pay down your debt. Most people are just throwing random amounts of money to their debt on the months they happen to "have extra money lying around", this is the big mistake people are making.

This makes paying off debt extremely unpredictable, random, sporadic, and this is why it is more stressful than it needs to be. An easy simple way without getting into actual math calculations is the following.

Step 1: Figure out what percent of your paycheck you'd like to dedicate to your debt, use that number.

Step 2: Figure out what debt has the higher interest rates (generally credit cards) and pay those off first, If the rates are about the same, prioritize the lower balance ones first.

Step 3: Figure out if you use that number, how long it'll be before the debt is actually paid off, if you need to calculate interest use a credit card calculator on the internet to get the total amount of months you'd need to commit to pay it off.

Step 4: Have a plan of what debt is next when that current goal is paid off, rinse and repeat until you're at your desired amount of debt.

Step 5: Stop throwing random amounts of money to your debt in hopes of paying it off faster, if you have random amounts of money still to throw it means your percentage of income to pay off your debt is too low.

I hope this helps, please share so people can get a solid simple foundation of how to pay off their debt! If you ever need help, don't hesitate to reach out to me. Good luck, you got this!
