Why do some population groups in America have different average life expectancies?
According to CDC/NCHS data, life expectancy in the United States may vary among different population groups, for example:
🔹 Asian Americans: approximately 85.2 years
🔹 Hispanic Americans: approximately 81.3 years
🔹 White Americans: approximately 78.4 years
🔹 Black Americans: approximately 74.0 years
These differences do not mean that any group is “better” or “healthier” by nature. Many factors may contribute to life expectancy differences, including lifestyle, diet, exercise, healthcare access, income, stress levels, environment, and family support systems.
These statistics are shared for educational purposes only and to highlight the importance of health awareness and long-term life planning.
