Heyyyyy everyone!!!! Long time no see! Well actually I’ve been quite busy (not exactly with my debt free journey😵‍💫) but with some other projects I’ve got going on!

I’m ready for the next chapter in my life, or shall I say… my love life💞💞💞

I still pay all of my bills and ball out on a budget but my focus has been on finding a mate! Which is also a great path to financial freedom when done correctly 😏, ya feel me!

This time of year is always special to me… it was about this time of year that I set my debt free resolution a few years back. I remember the excitement I had but also the bit of fear that lingered. But whatever fear you’re feeling, don’t let it stop you from setting and go getting that resolution!!!💪🏾🫵🏾

Not my bank telling all my business 🫠🙄

First of all, I already was aware of this because I track my spending on my own using the highlighter method on my Expense Tracker✍🏾.

Secondly, I exhausted some sinking funds by putting a down payment on the purchase of my new car, so mind your business🚙💨🤪.

Lastly, I have two bank accounts and you’re not even the favorite, tuh!

I appreciate the effort the banks are putting into helping people be more aware of their financial habits.

I’m so proud to be a mother! I want to share a tremendous thank you to the women in my family and in my tribe who gave me the tools I needed and who care for us even to this day💙
It was a village of moms who helped me raised this young gentleman and it’s still a village of moms who support and love us through life today! Where would we be without the love of mothers!

Whew!
After a failed transmission, multiple attempts to purchase a cash car, multiple attempts to purchase online~ I’ve finally found my match🥹 Meet “Bluebell💙🔔” my new luxury suv ~ Infiniti!

There were so many things that went well on this transaction from the sales person being a huge prince fan🔮… to me negotiating my rates 💲and window tinting🤣!

Will I be back in debt? yes. But there’s a plan in place to be right back debtfree in less than 2 years! My six figure net worth is still on the rise. And I’m now riding in style. I love my purchase!

I’ve decided to take a little bit of a break from numbers & take a little closer look at behaviors and what better read than to tap in to the “Psychology of Money: Timeless Lessons on Wealth, Greed, and Happiness” by Morgan Housel.

I just started reading this book and I’m quite intrigued! As we all know, money management isn’t just about numbers but largely about our behaviors and why we do things the way we do them with money.

I’m excited to get back into my reading routine and have dedicated April, which is “National Financial Literacy Month”, to doing just that!

There really are better things I can be doing with money that I actually do with money🤑Here are some:

💰Boost retirement contributions by a percentage point annually or with every income increase

💰Make an additional payment to payoff any debts

💰For every new purchase you make, list items on a reselling app to cover as much of the expense made as possible

💰Ask your employer to allocate a portion of your paycheck to your separate online bank account that you only access for certain expenses or emergencies

💰Pay utilities for your home up to 6 months in advance to free up your budget

STORY TIME!!💜

Many people have horror stories as to why they leave their companies but my story is quite different.

I was happy, comfortable, and building quite the nest from my ten years of employment with my current company.

But even still, I wanted to make a bigger impact. Like many of us, we want to explore opportunities and be ready for when they present themselves. Well that’s what happened for me.

I’m moving on but on a great note! My next chapter is being written and it all fits in line with my dream of true financial freedom💰. So, Cheers to another journey! 🥳🫶🏾🤗 Read along!

In all seriousness, shrinkflation comes with inflation and better to be in the know about where to spend your dollars than to wonder why your groceries aren’t lasting as long and consumables aren’t going as far.

… or Chick FIL A or Sam’s Club or Dunkin Donuts 😩😩😩 Pretty much anyone who has a smartphone can make purchases without even having their wallets or bank cards on them.

And let’s not forget all of the payment apps we use to send and receive funds 👉🏾 CashApp, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal.

Although, super convenient, I wonder how this has impacted our spending culture???

I’m curious - how many people use their phones for making purchases? I cannot tell you the last time I used my debt card in Target🤔

Does anyone use apps regularly for purchases?

What about using the “Wallet” feature on your phone to make purchases? Now this feature is something I definitely am hesitant about. Thoughts?
