As you may have heard, Georgia legislation has passed House Bill 673 which prohibits drivers from holding or supporting a wireless telecommunication device while operating a vehicle. The new law went into effect this past Sunday, July 1st, and authorities will start to issue driving violation tickets on this date. It is my understanding, despite some media outlets, that there will be NO grace period for this new law. I would suggest to start using your vehicles bluetooth capability if possible, and/or to purchase a cell phone mount for your vehicle.
