Where my heart is… What a journey down memory lane.

As I drove through my childhood neighborhood today, I couldn’t help but smile. The streets looked familiar, but I realized something had changed…

Me 😊😊

If you know my family’s story, then you know why my heart is overflowing with gratitude.

This year, after four long months in the hospital, my older brother received the miracle of a heart and kidney transplant. What an incredible testimony of God’s grace, mercy, and perfect timing.

But this wasn’t the first miracle we’ve witnessed over the past 10 years. Time and again, we’ve seen God’s hand at work in ways only He could design.

Driving through the neighborhood that shaped so much of my life reminded me that sometimes God allows us to revisit where we’ve been—not to stay there, but to see how faithfully He has carried us forward.

Today, I realized I stand with renewed appreciation for life, for family, and for a God who still performs miracles.

My heart is exactly where it belongs—full of gratitude.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His faithful love endures forever.” — Psalm 107:1

To God be all the glory. 🙏🏽❤️

It’s not a vibe. It’s a choice.

Some truths hit harder because comfort was/is costing you too much. God know we hate change!! But I tell you this… pivot anyways!!! You decide. You move—without an audience and applause.

Growth doesn’t ask permission.
Freedom doesn’t come wrapped in comfort or soft language.

A few weeks ago it was Take Your Spouse to Work Day.

Somewhere along the way, a tiny pebble got stuck on the side of my shoe.
Annoying? Yep.
Painful? Not yet.

So I did what most of us do — I kept moving.

Eventually, that pebble shifted to the bottom of my foot. Every step got heavier. Slower. More uncomfortable. I pushed through for over an hour… until I couldn’t anymore.

I stopped.
Took my shoe off.
Shook the pebble out.

The relief? Heavenly.
And just like that, I could move forward again.

Now here’s the real question…

How many people are walking through life with a “pebble” they’ve learned to tolerate?

• Bad credit
• Denied for the home or car they want
• Debt that never seems to shrink
• Uncertainty about what happens to their family if they’re no longer here

It starts as “manageable.”
Then it becomes exhausting.
And eventually… it stops you.

The truth?
Getting that pebble out isn’t as hard as people think.
There is a clear path forward — and you don’t have to limp through life to get there.

That right there is perspective with purpose.

Waking up is already a win. Another breath, another pivot, another chance to get it right. Some folks didn’t get that gift today — so yeah, the stress hits different when you remember that.

Gratitude realigns the heart. Praise fills my mind. And suddenly what felt heavy becomes manageable. Not minimized… just put in its proper place.

Today reminded me why I do what I do.
I had a conversation with someone that just filled my heart in a way I didn’t expect. No sales pitch. No pressure. Just purpose.

Sometimes God sends little reminders in the middle of an ordinary day — reminders that the calling He put in your heart is still alive, still needed, and still worth showing up for.

And this scripture hit different today:

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9

Whew… the harvest doesn’t show up on our timeline. It shows up on God’s.
Our job? Keep doing good. Keep serving. Keep planting.
Even when you’re tired.
Even when you feel unseen.
Even when results are slow.

Because when the moment is right, the harvest will come.

And today — I’m just grateful for the reminder. 🌾💛
