The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) estimates that as many as 15 million people will lose Medicaid coverage over the next 12 months. This is happening because the "Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA)", which allowed for the continuous re-enrollment into Medicaid throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, is getting set to end on March 31, 2023.
