Insurance Tips to Save Headaches

Tip 2

Make sure you understand the coverage in your current auto or home policy before you start shopping for insurance. It is not hard to beat rates. It is much harder to beat coverage. The price on that insurance quote may look really nice but may cause more headaches down the road if coverage was sacrificed to gain the savings. Ask your agent to explain your coverage if there is something you don’t understand.
If you are not using an independent agent, I would love to help. Independent agents can check several companies at once giving you a better way to find the best coverage for the best rate.

I was going to make this one post, but it was too long. So this will be the first of several.

Insurance Tips to Save Headaches

1) Don’t switch your home or auto if you only save $100 per year. If you have checked the rates with several companies already and that is all that is to be saved, don’t switch. Your current rate is not that bad according to the market. Switching too often can hurt you in the long run and switching for less than $10 per month is not worth it.
