Clements Investment Management Like us here on Facebook and join the new conversation and paradigm for a living-based, true wealth-driven, professional financial investment partnership.

We specialize in working with a small and select set of clients and professional referral partners (e.g. attorneys, accountants, MFT's) who frequently find and reach out to us during a significant crossroad in life (such as a divorce, death of a parent, ending of a business partnership, significant inheritance or retirement planning). We understand that crossroads can be both financially dangerou

s and/or a tremendously freeing time! At these life-altering junctures, we most often must face many complex and deeply personal challenges of identity, security, and the need for reformulation of life meaning and re-direction. To seize the new potential on the other side of the crossroad, often requires a facing down of fears; a new relationship to finances; and a conscious moving beyond old belief fallacies. In this self renewal process, we uniquely serve as personal confidant, and professional liaison with your professional team (accountants, attorneys, insurance agents etc.) to assure that an effective and holitically integral financial plan and investment structuring process is in place.

On having a dedication to a Lifework….

The Bushmen of the Kalahari speak of two kinds of hunger.

The Little Hunger is the hunger for food. The need for something in your belly — a fire in your body that must be fed to stay alive.

But then there’s the Great Hunger.

The hunger for meaning.
The hunger that lives deeper than the stomach — in the chest, in the bones, in the silence behind your eyes.
It’s the ache to belong. To matter. To know why you are here.

Laurens van der Post, the man pictured here, spent years among the Bushmen, listening. Learning. Trying to understand what we’ve forgotten in the modern world.

He said the most dangerous thing in life isn’t sadness. It’s emptiness — the slow, bitter erosion that comes from living without meaning.

We chase money. Status. Comfort.
We chase happiness like it’s the point.
But happiness is fleeting.
Meaning is enduring.

Because once you’re doing something that matters — really matters to your soul — it doesn’t matter whether you feel good all the time.

You feel right.
You feel connected.
You feel like you belong to something bigger than you.

And in that belonging, even the hardships become sacred.

This photo isn’t just a meeting between two men.
It’s a quiet moment between two ways of being.
One remembers that we are not just bodies to be fed, but spirits to be fulfilled.

And maybe that’s the real hunger we’ve been trying to feed all along.

Here: a photo Ronda took out our upstairs window last weekend. what magnificence is the natural world! We’re both honoring winter’s cold blue light and grey days… lots of time sitting fireside (coffee by am; wine by eve … dogs on lap at both) - and looking out at the stillness…

I felt inclined to publish this on FB today... Hopefully it is exactly what someone here needs to read today:

How do we plan for a future with so much uncertainty in our world today? Not just economic uncertainty, with its yo-yoing instability and seeming unaccountable swings, but also the personal insecurity and un- grounding that such a fast-paced climate of changing circumstance engenders in our personal...

We had a 1st "Meet the Neighbors, "Ground Hog Day Open House" at the Clements Casa Last Night.... And
.Our neighbors from the estate NEXT DOOR - with a gorgeous huge White Pyrenees Dog (now we know why) - showed us a photo (much like below) of a mountain lion (now a rug - sort of sad but also astounding) who took down 2 (not 1) of their Alpaca.

This has made Ronda a little more determined to teach our little (unteachable) Cavalier King Charles Spaniels some "self-defense" and where that (will) fail: respect for things larger than themselves (which is almost anything larger than a squirrel).

It is truly awesome to be in real nature with geese, ducks and starlings on our pond filled with bass and bull frogs which the Blue Heron visits for snacks on a regular basis; literally hundreds of wild turkeys; snow on the mountain peaks; gorgeous sunset/sunrises... and a mere 10 minute drive into our daily YMCA workout! And really great, open-minded, down-to-earth, artistic neighbors to boot! Wow. We LOVE ASHLAND!

(P.S. Nature wildness is good. The local authorities took down the mountain lion. I guess when they are this close and have killed a farming animal, it's required. Side note: We had a bear come to our front porch and steal our Holloween pumpkin but luckily didn't call any authority... so he still roams free... somewhere nearby)... Ronda is singing "lions and tigers and bears, oh my...."

To my client/friends in our 50's; 60's; 70's and beyond... Now’s your time to expand into your true life force....
(And for inspiration: Arthur Ashkin at ninety-six, he won the Nobel Prize in Physics and was still actively working.). It's time for our biggest best contributions and service to Life.
