You. Guys.
I know I say this every year, but the 2021 Ashland Christmas Parade was AMAZING!!! We were in absolute awe when we saw how many of you all were downtown (and on Claremont!), celebrating and enjoying and ushering in the holiday with us! Seeing all those smiling faces and happy people and just pure grooviness makes it all worth it.
This parade would not happen without the support and assistance of SO MANY people, including Santa & Mrs. Claus, the City of Ashland Ohio Street and Sanitation Departments, IT Department, Parks Department, Ashland Police Division, Ashland Fire Local 1386, BCU Electric, Inc., Ashland Evening Lions Club, Sons of the American Legion Post #88 Riders, Apex Lawn Care & Snow Plowing, Sticks-n-Stones Landscaping of Ashland, Dynamic Audio Productions, Amanda Patterson, Jerry Bloodhart, Armstrong, Soundfall, Ashland Noon Lions Club, the Mayor's office, Richelle Kemper, and Matt & Melanie Miller. We have an absolutely amazing team that puts together this parade and works hard all year to make it happen- a huge thanks to the Christmas Crew of Ann, Sarah, Jessica, Heidi, Debbie, Amy (and Jeremy and Ryan!)
We were simply blown away by the parade entries this year! You all did a fantastic job putting together your floats and walking units- every entry that went by was just amazing! Thank you for your hard work! We were honored to have Tammy Jean Milne of Blue Pumpkin Boutique, Missy Smith-Butts of United Way of Ashland County Ohio, and Seth Gasche of Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home and Crematory as our judges. The entries this year were outstanding- the judges had a VERY tough decision this year, but they persevered! Without further ado, the winners of the Christmas Parade were:
In the Commercial Division, Nardo's Landscaping Solutions, LLC. (1st), Mc.B Paving and Sealcoating (2nd), and New Life Community Church - Ashland OH (3rd). In the Non-Commercial Division, the Ashland City Schools (1st), Ashland Worship Center/Shop With a Cop (2nd), and the Coffy Family (3rd). Our Best of Theme winners were Hands of Grace Services LLC (commercial) and Ashland University Cheer and Dance (non-commercial).
Friends, this parade was a wonderful experience for us all- we hope you enjoyed it, too. Seeing the floats, the people, and the happiness all over our downtown (and beyond!) is what this season is all about. Thank you so much for joining us for this fabulous evening.
xoxo
