Never hurts to be prepared:

One gallon of water per day per person plus more for pets, store in a cool, dark place if possible.

Shelf stable foods like canned fruits, vegetables and meats, plus pet food, enough for 2-3 weeks.

Medications.

Don’t forget important items that might not make the typical list
