Our industry just had a 65% drop from peak and 56% drop from 5 years ago. Current projections show that about 65% of all licensed loan officers have gotten out of the business since 2021!!.

Here are the number of total loans closed by the ENTIRE mortgage industry (by year), according to the Mortgage Bankers Association:

2019- 8 Million Units
2020- 11.99 Million Units
2021- 13.54 Million Units
2022- 5.90 Million Units
2023- 4.33 Million Units
