You should proofread EVERYTHING you send to a potential employer: emails, resume, cover letter, everything! When you're done, proofread it again... One mistake could cost you the job.

If you think an apostrophe was one of the 12 disciples of Jesus, you will never work for me. If you think a semicolon is a regular colon with an identity crisis, I will not hire you. If you scatter commas into a sentence with all the discrimination of a shotgun, you might make it to the foyer before...

Americans working full-time work an average of 43 hours per week. If you aren't spending at least this amount of time in your job search, then don't be so surprised if you don't get results.

Slow job growth = more applicants fighting for fewer positions.

The economy added 80,000 jobs last month, the Labor Department reported on Friday, which is not enough to significantly reduce the backlog of unemployed workers. The jobless rate remained at 8.2 percent.
