You should proofread EVERYTHING you send to a potential employer: emails, resume, cover letter, everything! When you're done, proofread it again... One mistake could cost you the job.

Americans working full-time work an average of 43 hours per week. If you aren't spending at least this amount of time in your job search, then don't be so surprised if you don't get results.

Slow job growth = more applicants fighting for fewer positions.

The economy added 80,000 jobs last month, the Labor Department reported on Friday, which is not enough to significantly reduce the backlog of unemployed workers. The jobless rate remained at 8.2 percent.
